Position: Machine Operator (1st Shift)
Department: Manufacturing
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Cell Lead
Location: Fullerton area CA (on site)
Compensation: $21.50/hour OT per CA law
Shift: 5:00 AM 3:00 PM Monday Friday (two 30 minute meal breaks)
Orientation: 3 day orientation; Day 1 runs 12:45 PM 5:00 PM
Hiring Process: No interview - offer based on resume
Physical: Required (pre employment)
Compliance: ITAR compliant site (U.S. Person may be required)
Operate a single or multiple spindle numerical controlled drilling machine to perform drilling reaming boring tapping grooving and slotting per engineering drawings and travelers. Follow established procedures check own work against specifications and escalate machine issues to supervision.
B) Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMachining & Inspection
Set up basic jobs and run parts per prints/specs; monitor cycle; adjust within authorized limits.
Inspect in process and final dimensions using micrometers calipers comparators thread gauges depth mics dial indicators; document results.
Preventive Maintenance
Perform daily PM checklist; clean/inspect machine; verify fluids filters belts and guards.
Material Handling & Identification
Label parts correctly; stage/move parts ( 30 lbs) to designated areas; maintain lot/sequence integrity.
Quality & Documentation
Keep travelers/production reports accurate and current; follow work instructions and SOPs.
Communication & Safety
Report malfunctions or safety concerns immediately; maintain a clean safe and orderly workstation; wear required PPE.
Other Duties
Perform other tasks of equal or lesser skill as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: 1 2 years related machining/NC drilling; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills: Blueprint reading; basic shop math; use of precision measuring instruments listed above.
Physical: Regular use of hands; reaching; frequent standing/sitting; occasional walking/talking/hearing; lift/move up to 30 lbs; vision for close work depth perception and focus.
Manufacturing floor with moving machinery coolants and moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
E) Screening PPE & ComplianceBackground Check (post offer):
Drug Screen: 5 panel (No THC).
PPE: Steel toe safety shoes and safety glasses required on the floor.
ITAR Site: Compliance with ITAR; U.S. Person status may be required.
