Solution Architect (FileNet)
Location: Burnaby Canada (Work from home most of the time; occasional travel to BC Hydros Burnaby office)
Duration: 6 12 months (project allocation 50 60% with possibility of increase)
Client: Fujitsu
Rate: $60 hr W2
Top 3 Skills Required-
IBM FileNet P8 ECM General Experience Records Management/IER Minimum 5 years of Solution Architecture experience on IT projects 10 years of overall IT project experience.

Consulting Experience Must have worked in a consulting environment with proven ability to perform complex analysis and provide recommendations.

Systems Integration Experience in projects involving integration of disparate technologies and platforms.
Fujitsus Solution Architects provide thought leadership to clients and sales executives across Canada. We are seeking a Solution Architect based in Vancouver BC with strong IBM FileNet expertise and ideally subject matter knowledge in the Utilities sector.
This position combines Sales Support Project Delivery and Technical Leadership drawing on your consulting experience and technical expertise in Enterprise Content Management (ECM).
The ideal candidate is motivated proactive results-oriented detail-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Project & Platform Planning-
Work closely with clients to understand their business strategy and challenges and construct relevant ECM solutions.

Support opportunity pursuits from awareness generation through proposal and deal closing.

Collaborate with Fujitsu delivery managers and business partners to develop platform strategies business cases and investment justifications.

Define the solution approach describe the architecture and estimate work effort for implementation.

Provide oversight of portions of implementation within client engagements.

Provide thought leadership and advisory services to clients on a billable basis.

Design and guide business solution architectures and their delivery approach.

Ensure quality assurance of delivered solutions matches proposed designs.

Develop strategic technical plans and application roadmaps.

Mentor and coach Fujitsu staff to ensure consistent quality delivery.

Capture intellectual assets (delivery/process models estimating/cost models design patterns resource allocation practices) in the knowledge base for reuse.

Post-secondary degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.

5 years of Solution Architecture experience; 10 years total IT project experience.

5 years of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) experience preferably with FileNet P8 system.

Strong knowledge of building integration solutions with FileNet (APIs CMIS framework).

Hands-on experience with WebSphere and/or WebLogic to configure maintain and support FileNet components.

Experience with FileNet FM to configure set up and administer FileNet P8 (5.5.1) object stores document classes search & entry templates.

Ability to work with developers and business stakeholders to build/configure IER components (Record Classes File Plans Retention Policies).

Proven consulting experience performing complex analysis and providing client recommendations.

Facilitation and stakeholder management experience.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality project deliverables on time.

Understanding of the Utilities sector and/or Crown corporations (preferred).
