Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent 2. Experience working with students with severe AutismSALARY: Teacher Aide Salary SchedulePROGRAM/LOCATIONS: Autism Classroom Pembroke Middle SchoolHOURS: Contract TBD based upon start date Hours are 8:00 - 3:00 RESPONSIBILITIES: as a 1:1 with a student with learning of materials or with daily living skills including 1:1 academic behavior support progress towards IEP under the supervision of the classroom Massachusetts 7-D License (training in order to obtain will be available upon hire)SUPERVISION AND and follows through on constructive criticism made by and participates in in-service training programs and staff development meetings as new teaching strategies or skills when by policies as outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies and Procedures AND physically lift up to 50 pounds and assist in liftin over 100 pounds and assist students in all daily will require the ability to physically lift a student or assist in lifting and physically accompany a student during activities such as toileting personal hygiene and self-care tasks. Can physically lift or assist in lifting students into adaptive/therapy equipment when able to physically assist students during fire drills or actual emergency a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about professional attitudes and productive relationships with other staff and parents and other professionals with respect.
