You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailUnder the supervision of the UW-Madison Travel and Card Team Manager this position is responsible for reviewing approving and advising on Workday Expenses transactions including expense reports and purchasing card transaction reconciliations. This centrally located position will work closely with other Division of Business Services staff and faculty staff and leadership from UW-Madison schools colleges and auxiliaries.
This is a terminal/finite University Staff appointment for one year. This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing recruitment based on need and/or funding.
This position is eligible for remote work. Remote work requires an approved Remote Work Agreement (RWA). An RWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee.
Answers advanced fiscal questions and provides information based on set materials and standards to various audiences
Creates general reporting for transactions
Reviews transaction processing internal controls and recommends policies and procedures
Audits monitors organizes and updates fiscal records reports and affiliated materials
Drafts communications and advanced reports and maintains organization of varied records to provide administrative support within a specified work unit
Reallocates expenses to appropriate funding strings
Audits or reconciles original purchase documents with payments
Audits or processes advanced transactions and assigns funding codes in accordance with established rules regulations and policies
Division of Business Services Disbursements
The mission of the Division of Business Services (DoBS) is to support UW-Madisons institutional responsibilities of higher education and research. Business Services offers a broad range of services and transaction processing to campus including accounting internal auditing risk management purchasing materials distribution and surplus property management and tuition and student loan services.
Located in DoBS Accounting Services provides financial services and management for UW-Madison including the processing and reporting of accounting data. The department develops and implements financial policies and procedures for university-wide business processes for compliance with tax laws and other Federal and State regulations.
The expected hourly rate for this position is $25.48 for highly experienced candidates. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
