DescriptionThe Global Services Department is a service organization dedicated to supporting leaders members and the workforce. The Global Services Departments Bank Data Processing Team is committed in their purpose to accurately acquire document and process bank statement information for hundreds of banks from around the world. The timing and accuracy of this information is critical to enable Church funds to be properly accounted for. This career level professional exists to develop implement and maintain process automation using various tools supporting multiple teams. This work helps meet the initiative to reduce and simplify.
This is a full-time (40 hour/week) position. Under the current hybrid working arrangements the person in this position is required to work in our Riverton office once a week (as designated by division) or more depending on business needs. Responsibilities- Maintains and creates new robotic automation solutions architecture and logic using Microsoft Power Automate (MPA) desktop and Cloud Flows and Automation Anywhere (AA360); automations are created for use by multiple teams
- Maintains and creates new file mappings in our IBM Sterling Transformation Extender (ITX) software
- Actively seeks out and implements the file mappings and other process automation improvements by counseling with other teams and through data analysis using queries and reports.
- Creates new Structured Query Language (SQL) or Visual Basic (VBA) macros/queries used to simplify and standardize processes
- Manages the identification coordination testing and implementation of the SWIFT statement collection process for the team
- Assists team analysts and specialists in resolving the most complex data load issues in a timely manner
- Mentors and trains other developers to complete the ITX VBA MPA and AA360 work as assigned
- Tests analyzes and resolves system challenges and other issues in coordination with ICS FRD and external banking partners
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with teams in FRD area offices and ICS that are assigned to support the processing of bank files
- Provides ITX PeopleSoft and CUBS system user acceptance testing support for our bank and reconciliation teams
- Creates prioritizes and assigns JIRA tickets for completion ensuring the correct priorities are set and deadlines met
- Works on manager-assigned projects impacting multiple divisions to standardize and improve processes
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelors degree in business information systems engineering or a related field
- 5 years of experience in business operations business process and system analysis requirements gathering and application implementation or software development
- Excellent English language writing skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Willingness and ability to think outside the box to explore what and how new information technology can help us simplify and improve our work
- Intermediate level proficiency in macros and SQL scripting
- Intermediate level proficiency in HTML
- Intermediate level proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (C# or VBA)
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Power Query and Power Apps Flow
- To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements that need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors and equipment
Preferred:
- Experience using the Churchs financial systems
- Masters degree or programming certificates
