Specialist, Technology Engineer (Windows Server Automation Developer)

Focus will be to develop capabilities within the team and create the foundation for various Operational Automation to include driving self-service. Overall goal to increase fleet compliance to desired configuration while reducing time to market for customer needs.

Skills To Be Successful

• Extensive knowledge and experience with infrastructure automation enable self-service

• Proven change management to support SDLC for various automation development

• Technical requirements include but not limited to VRA

• Ground up development utilizing Python Chocolatey PowerShell Python GitHub GitHub Actions Ansible C# SQL Server Development SharePoint Power User Microsoft BI

• Understanding of support and development for Enterprise Image Management

• Hands on knowledge of Azure Arc Windows Server In-dept Engineering Level

• Experience of Artificial Intelligence Implementation For Infrastructure

Supporting over 2500 Windows servers

Over 25000 users

Hybrid environment of on premise and multiple external cloud offerings

Support on call rotation

In addition to the skills listed above the ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate:

• Extensive knowledge and experience with MS Windows Server OS with emphasis on designingand building enterprise scale deployments

• Understanding of network and firewall requirements for server builds

• Images GPOs Secure configuration

• Proven change management controls (process)

Communications

• Ability to provide executive presence and communication

• Ability to manage conversations with customers vendors and management not only for daily tasks but also for projects and production outages

• Establish process across teams for technical components and services

• Contribute to process design across teams for technical components and services

• Seen as a leader in technology with ability to teach and influence use cases designs and standards - Ex. Business support PCI PII and technical robustness knowledge management (technical)

• Past experience leading and supporting a Community of Practice

Key Responsibilities:

• Creates and implements standard builds/templates for all technology platforms.

• Drives requirements to meet current and future needs tracks and reports capacity postures.

• Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.

• Analyzes reports and delivery recommendations to remediate capacity issues.

• Implements capacity enhancements.

• Designsstandardandcustomtechnologysolutionsfor businesspartnerprojects including pre-production testing performance tuning handoffs and certification.

• Delivers technology/product optimization migrations and management including technology/product design planning power and environmental management.

• Collaborateswithotherstodevelopmeaningfulmetricsthatdrivefact-baseddecisionson a givenproduct/environment/solution.

• Conducts proactive system maintenance disaster recovery planning data backup and recovery as well as inventory configuration and utility product management.

• Executes production engineering processes incident management root cause analysis problem management change management release management and knowledge management.

• Provides production support for all technology platforms.

• Provides oversight for technical labs and development environments.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director Technology Engineering Manager/Technology Product Manager.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science management information systems or a related field is preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or designation are not required but encouraged (i.e.: AWS Azure scripting and development languages delivery methods security).

Experience: Four yearsof experience withmoderatelycomplexintegrated solutions and an ability todevelop andmodify existing solutions for specialized needs. Experience with automation of solution configurations deployment and with system management processes and tools. Experience with concepts and solutions:IaaS PaaS SaaSand Package Solutions.

Knowledge Abilities and Skills: Strong communication skills knowledge of planning management and execution of Accelerated Solutions Deliver framework Information Security acumen. Influencing negotiating and priority setting is needed. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge is a plus.

Other criteria including leadership skills competencies and experiences may take precedence.
