Field Service Technician - Nalco Water Mining

The Nalco Water team of Ecolab is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join its industry leading sales and service team. Youll partner with Sales Representatives on executing service plans in strategic district accounts and providing customers with problem solving support within the Mining industry. Youll also assist District Sales Representatives with launching new applications in current customer accounts and in transitioning competitively-held accounts to Nalco Water.

What You Will Do:

• Calibrate maintain and install chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment at a variety of customer accounts in the Mining industry
• Execute chemistry tests log and report data and maintain product inventories at customer accounts
• Assist Sales Representatives with start-ups of new applications in both existing customers and in new accounts
• Maintain strong customer relationships provide technical reports and support to customers; identify and resolve customer challenges escalating as required

Territory/Location Information:

• Position will support customers in the Tumbler Ridge BC area with travel throughout the region
• Some overnight travel may be required for training/meetings

Training programs are held in the field and at Ecolabs Nalco Water Training Centre in Naperville IL. Based on your skill level and experience topics covered may include technology product service business and industry acumen direct coaching and mentoring sales management and leadership training and certifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Post secondary diploma or degree
• Related industrial/mechanical/customer support experience or mining industry experience
• Good computer skills and experience with MS Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Possess a valid Drivers License and acceptable Driving Record
• Able to travel to the US for training/meetings
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post Secondary degree or diploma in chemistry chemical engineering or related field
• Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
• Working knowledge of boilers cooling towers and wastewater treatment systems

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full-time 40 hours per week. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education training experience work location travel (if required) etc.
