At Acelero Learning Delaware we know that healthy meals fuel healthy learning. Were looking for a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in our Head Start and Early Head Start programs. Youll play a vital role in ensuring that every child has the nourishment they need to grow learn and thrive.
What Youll Do
As a Cook you will:
Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks that meet USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines.
Ensure safe food handling storage and sanitation practices in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and food service area.
Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to accommodate childrens allergies and dietary restrictions.
Monitor inventory order supplies and track food usage to stay within budget.
Support teachers and staff by creating a positive and enjoyable mealtime environment for children.
Who You Are
Were looking for someone who is:

Reliable organized and attentive to detail.
Knowledgeable in food safety and sanitation practices.
A collaborative team player with a caring positive attitude.
Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus!
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in food service or institutional cooking preferred.
Knowledge of CACFP guidelines and safe food handling practices.
Pass a physical exam and background check.
Valid drivers license or reliable transportation required.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
