Job Description

Job Description:
Berlin Patten Ebling is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support our civil litigation team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage attorney calendars schedule meetings and coordinate court appearances.
  • Prepare and format legal documents correspondence and client communications.
  • File documents with state and federal courts including e-filing.
  • Maintain case files and organize client records.
  • Assist with billing invoicing and expense tracking.
  • Handle client intake and initial case documentation.
  • Answer phones and communicate with clients courts and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or legal studies coursework preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or legal setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office document management systems and e-filing platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
