We have a 6 month fixed term opportunity for a Governance Lead to support ACCs Board Board Committees and Executive Team. This role is central to ensuring that governance processes are efficient effective and aligned with best practice. It provides a critical interface between the organisations leadership and its governance bodies including the Chief Executive.
The Governance Lead oversees the delivery of high quality secretariat services and leads a team responsible for enabling strong engagement between the business and the Board. This includes managing systems and processes that support decision making maintaining accurate records and ensuring that policies and frameworks approved by the Board are well maintained.
The role also involves forward planning of Board and Committee agendas coordinating meeting materials and ensuring follow-up on actions. It requires a proactive approach to monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and a commitment to continuous improvement in governance practices. As the Governance Lead you will play a key role in supporting ACCs strategic goals.
This is a people leadership role where youll guide a high performing Governance team to deliver trusted support to the Board Committees and Executive Team. If youre passionate about leading others and shaping governance practices that make a real impact wed love to hear from you.

About youMu
- Considerable experience working with Boards in a large public sector/Crown Entity or corporate secretarial function
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Law Commerce or a related field and/or substantial governance experience.
- Experience leading and building high performing teams.
- High level of interpersonal relationship building and networking skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate issues seek appropriate support and effectively influence stakeholders to achieve solutions through collaborative efforts.
- Strong written and verbal communication and drafting abilities.
- Strong analytical abilities attention to detail and effective project and process management with a focus on prioritisation and delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of the corporate governance landscape.
- A commitment to professionalism integrity objectivity and collegiality and the ability to work on a wide range of legal governance and regulatory matters.
- Flexible resilient and willing to work on a broad range of matters.
- Experience working in complex environment with a proven ability to exercise judgement in crisis situations.

The appointing salary for this role will sit between $123676 and $152430 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
