Job Description
- Support risk analytics initiatives by gathering preparing and analyzing data to help identify and monitor systemic and emerging operational risks.
- Develop and maintain risk solutions metrics and dashboards to quantify risks and provide insights that support management decisions.
- Execute data transformation and ETL processes ensuring accuracy consistency and quality across large datasets.
- Perform statistical and trend analysis to identify patterns in operational risk data highlighting potential issues or emerging risk exposures.
- Assist in the development and deployment of visualization solutions (e.g. Tableau Power BI ThoughtSpot) that translate complex risk data into clear actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with peers managers and cross-functional teams providing technical and analytical support during project delivery testing and reporting.
- Stay current on data tools and methodologies applying best practices in data analysis and risk monitoring to continuously improve processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 24 years of experience in data analytics risk analysis or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL Python or similar tools for querying and analyzing large datasets.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience with ETL processes.
- Exposure to business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI ThoughtSpot Alteryx Cognos).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data quality.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Big Data platforms such as BigQuery Databricks or Snowflake.
- Background or internship experience in risk management internal audit or control functions ideally within financial services.
Familiarity with operational risk frameworks and regulatory expectations in financial institutions.
