Job Description

Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investment Then Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the perfect place for you. We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to join our CI Capital team in Copenhagen.

Team


The CI Capital teams key responsibility is management of CIPs four Senior Partners ownership of CIP. Additionally CI Capital is consolidating the increasing investments by the Senior Partners in funds managed by CIP and other investments as well as driving continuous professionalization of other family office activities. The team currently consists of around 12 people.

The finance team plays a vital role in supporting the administration of the Senior Partners entities. The team is responsible for providing accounting and insight into financial performance for 65 entities.



Role

As the Financial Controller you will become part of a dynamic team and participate in developing and professionalizing our setup in finance. The CI Capital team consists of 9 full-time employees plus 3 Analysts (Student Assistants).

In the daily business you will report to the Senior Finance Manager in CI Capital.

Your primary responsibility is to support the finance function of the CI Capital team in the below-mentioned responsibilities and areas.

Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:

  • Quarterly and yearly control of entities.
  • Reviewing audit material (annual reports tax returns taxable income statements etc.) and assisting with the collection and preparation of audit material (PBC) for external auditors
  • Preparing consolidated financial statements and reports
  • Controlling and supporting intercompany transactions
  • Reviewing bookkeeping and approving payments
  • Preparing balance reconciliations cost specifications ad hoc analyses etc.
  • Preparing accruals and provisions
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as banks auditors and advisors
  • Assisting with other tasks including compliance with external stakeholders capital increases group contributions and capital calls to name a few
  • Assisting with corporate and private tax matters ensuring compliance with tax regulations


You

We are looking for a motivated individual holding a masters degree (or similar) in accounting finance for instance a or other relevant education combined with 5 years of relevant full-time experience from a role in auditing as Controller or similar. Good accounting knowledge is essential. Experience or familiarity from a family office or with portfolio administration is beneficial. You might come with solid experience with Navision/Business Central. You will contribute with your experience highly structured work ability and efficiency to ensure that you and the finance team continue to deliver high-quality accounting and reporting within given deadlines.

Given the structure of ownership across the Senior Partners and their companies your role will include complex issues that will challenge your skills and the need for you to acquire new knowledge on an ongoing basis especially within accounting.
