Job Description:

The Global Supply Chain (GSC) team of Caterpillars Retail Electric Power Division (REPS) is centrally responsible for the Order to Delivery of products out of 7 global facilities. This is an independent contributor role reporting to the Global Supply Chain Manager of the REPS division.

What you will do:

- Lane strategy: Independently lead and implement Lane strategy for REPS gensets to maximize supply chain efficiency by offering improved availability to customers and minimizing/prioritizing inventory across nodes. Laison with Sales Demand Engineering Product Definition and Supply Chain teams.

- Sales & Operations Planning: Work closely with the demand and finance team to drive initiatives to improve forecast accuracy for the facilities by benchmarking the current processes to the corporate best-practices.

- Digital solutions: Assess identify charter roadmap and implement digital solutions for the work streams.

- Communicate with senior leadership and stakeholders on the opportunities solution and implementation addition to technical skills Distribution consultants need to demonstrate fully skilled levels of leadership competencies.

- Although the requirements above describe most of the responsibilities due to the breadth of issues that arise on projects it is expected that a Distribution consultant will take on other responsibilities.

Skills:

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

Partnering for Clients Success: Knowledge of and insight into clients key objectives and ability to work and think alongside clients to achieve clients current and future aspirations and successes.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Basic requirements:

- Bachelor Degree

- Pre advanced English

Top candidates will also have:

- Minimum of 15 years of supply chain sales or related experience.

- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience.

- Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills.

- Preferrable to have a good knowledge of REPS business and products.

- Post graduate degree in business supply chain logistics or industrial engineering.

- Ability to analyze data identify trends and develop data-driven solutions.

- Develop and deploy creative / original solutions to complex problems.

- Ability to manage projects track progress resolve roadblocks and meet deadlines.

- Preferrable to have Analytics and Visualization tools Skills (R SQL Python Excel Access & Tableau).

Additional Information:

- This position requires up to 25% travel throughout the year.

Note: This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week.
