Job Summary
A PartsDriver picks-up and delivers parts and equipment for the dealership
Specific Job-Related Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivers parts and equipment to customers vendors and other locations as requested
- Picks up parts and equipment from customers vendors and other locations as requested
- Loads and unloads parts and equipment to and from truck
- Ensures that customers receive the correct products
- Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick up.
- Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
- Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipients signature on each delivery item
- Operates the vehicle used to deliver and pick up parts and equipment
- Maintains an organized clean and safe work area
- Participates in required training
- Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
- Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
- Observes all Federal State Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Maintain value quality and integrity
General Company Related Duties and Responsibilities
- Report to work within acceptable time frames and company standards.
- Maintain appropriate degree of professionalism towards customers and coworkers.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous driving delivery or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and customer service skills
- Basic computer & phone skills (Internet MS Outlook)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions procedure manuals and computers.
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Preferred working knowledge of car parts and the tools used for cars.
- Experience with automotive software preferred
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Self-motivated goal oriented and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift items up to 50-75 lbs.
- Current valid drivers license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Working Conditions
The employee will work indoors and outdoors in an auto shop environment.
