Background
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to support the delivery of the NIHR Maternity Disparities Consortium ( a 50million national programme focused on finding new ways to tackle inequalities before during and after pregnancy.
Based in the Research Delivery Team in the College of Medicine and Health and working closely with the programme managers consortium co-leads and a diverse range of stakeholders the post holder will contribute to a range of activities. Responsibilities include underpinning the coordination of activities events reporting and wider logistics for the consortium. This role will also provide diary and personal support for Professor Joht Singh Chandan Clinical Professor of Public Health and Consortium co-Lead for Research.
The role requires strong organisational skills attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability of building and managing positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and the ability to work proactively both independently and as part of a team.A strong sense of initiative the ability to multi-task and effective communication skills are a must in this role.
Role Summary
As a senior administrator and personal assistant within this large consortium you will provide support for a broad range of administrative duties some of which may be complex. You may also be responsible for managing other staff or for supporting colleagues and sharing will use your excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure the people you support are well prepared and that the tasks you carry out are completed to a high quality in a timely manner.

Planning and organising
This role will require you to work independently on daily weekly and monthly tasks but also on projects with medium-longer-term horizons without daily supervision.

Problem solving and decision making
You will work under the direction of the senior manager you support but you will have a significant degree of autonomy. You will deal with the more complex queries and be expected to resolve any problems in your area of responsibility. You may also manage the workload of others or coach others to achieve will take day to day decisions on managing the diary emails preparing papers and booking travel.
Internal and external relationships
You will be liaising with a wide range of internal colleagues and stakeholders likely to be University-wide and with external stakeholders.
