ESSENTIAL DUTIES FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compiles and analyzes financial statements including monthly and annual accounts and reconciling bank statements.
- Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Ensures accurate and timely monthly quarterly and year end close and establishes and monitors the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to the general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
- Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities maintains data bases coordinating and preparing the audit process. Ensuring accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Analyzes and advises on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends financial commitments and future revenues.
- Analyzes financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures provides strategic recommendations and maintains solutions to business and financial problems.
- Responsible for preparing special reports and financial statements relating to the financial condition of the various accounts.
- Makes best-practices recommendations to management.
- Assists with the annual external audit.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Provides feedback to accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Attends seminars and professional conferences as it relates to the job duties and responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
Three (3) years of direct work experience.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field.
