The Group Director Products will report to the Group Chief Product Officer (GCPO) and be responsible for overseeing pricing product development innovation and strategy. This is a key leadership role in the newly created Group Product function and will be play a pivotal role in helping establish a target operating model for the Product function together with the GCPO. This will entail working closely with other functions such as Group Customer and Wealth Group Agency and Partnership Distribution Group Health Group Finance GCIO Group Transformation Office and Group Risk and Compliance in establishing the Groups product strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development Innovation and Strategy
- Lead product ideation process and conduct product workshops to develop compelling product offerings to meet to meet customer demands on close collaboration with Business Units Distribution Customer and Wealth and other key Group stakeholders.
- Lead the development of differentiated products including investment-linked policies protection riders HNW solutions and wellness-based incentives tailored to consumer needs.
- Support market research competitive analysis across key markets.
- Identify key emerging trends in health tech digital wealth platforms and customer behaviour to enhance our product value proposition and providing value-added services.
- Establish and drive the Groups product strategy across markets and customer segments working closely with Distribution teams. Integrate product strategy with business planning processes.
- Product Development and Management: Oversee group-wide practices around product development and management ensuring conduct related to product design and propositions aligns with the companys values. Work closely with the Customer and Marketing team link product development with customer research enhance customer centricity communication and conduct outcomes that drive customer acquisition and retention policy wording collaterals exclusions underwriting product value incorporating TCF principles.
- Work closely with the GCPO on other initiatives including portfolio management across the product lifecycle strengthening Group-wide reinsurance relationships enhancing risk management and to drive the Groups Wealth and Protection strategy.

Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science Mathematics Economics Finance Business or related fields. Post-graduate studies in Business Management and Insurance/ Advanced degrees and qualified actuary strong preferred.
- 20 years of experience in life insurance product management with a strong leadership track record across various product lines.
- Proven leadership experience in regional or multi-market roles.
- Strong leadership strategic thinking and communication skills. Deep understanding of market trends customer needs and product development in the insurance sector and a passion for bringing innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
