ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
- Analyze and evaluate ongoing management practices and designing and recommending management procedures for the effective use of organizational intellectual and financial resources as well as assisting the clients with financial/data analysis and budget assistance.
- Responsible for maintaining data contained in client information management systems which will entail merging data from multiple sources identifying and resolving discrepancies and ensuring data meet quality standards.
- Providing funding financial forecasting program and budgetary information to senior officials and program managers;
- Reconciling accounting funding and budget information;
- Maintaining and reviewing status of obligations and costs; notifying program and budget officials of available funds and potential shortfalls.
- Preparing recording tracking and reporting on the status of funds and funding documents;
- Coordinating and attending briefings to discuss program budgets and spending identifying financial issues and establishing policies and procedures for taking corrective action.
- Attending strategic planning meetings and assisting in developing strategies for addressing changing appropriation limitations and methods for implementing OMB and DOE budgetary mandates and guidance.
- Conducting quantitative data-driven financial analysis using a variety of financial software systems including accounting data from IDW and allocation data from the Funds Distribution System (FDS).
- Preparing budget and accounting reports and PowerPoint briefings for oversight organizations.
- Designing and producing detailed monthly and ad hoc accounting and budget reports using Excel.
- Compile special reports make large distributions of memoranda and assisted in other special projects as necessary.
- Maintains copies of all correspondence signed by the Administrator Deputy Administrators and NNSA related Executive Secretariat /Secretarial files.
- Offer organizational support for planning analyzing coordinating and evaluating the development of priorities resource allocations work force management and/or performance for organizational objectives.
- Set up and format spreadsheets to analyze information.
- Compile conference packages to obtains General Counsel and Senior management concurrence
- Review complete conference package to forward to the Under Secretary of Nuclear Security approval
- Liaison with field and lab offices to answer all pertinent questions
- Conduct and attend weekly meeting with headquarters and field/lab conference staff
- All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum five years of business or financial management experience.
- Current DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- Excellent communication skills orally and in writing;
- Good customer relation skills and the ability to work independently;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with DOE/NNSA.
- 7-10 years of related experience.
Location: This is a full-time on-site in Washington DC.
SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data internal equity and the candidates related knowledge skills and abilities for the position.
