Introduction
About the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) provides leadership policy development planning and analysis to maximize the value of Delawares people facilities land and financial resources. OMB supports the Governors policy agenda manages the states budget and capital projects oversees state facilities delivers essential government support services administers pensions and operates the states central payroll system. Through these efforts OMB ensures efficient and effective management of Delawares financial human and capital resources for the benefit of all Delawareans.
Essential Functions
About the Internship
Interns will support accounting and financial operations with responsibilities such as:
Analyzing and reconciling vouchers ledgers and statements
Monitoring expenditures for budget compliance
Reviewing financial transactions and accounts for accuracy
Compiling reports for state federal and special-funded programs
Assisting with budget preparation cost projections and forecasting
Supporting internal controls policy reviews and process improvements
Ensuring compliance with state and federal fiscal requirements
