Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Facilities Management (6-Month Contract)
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a facilities management background to manage and coordinate specialized engineering activities disciplines and teams. The role involves leading advanced technical concepts conducting feasibility studies and ensuring the successful execution of mechanical engineering aspects of projects. The selected candidate will play a critical role in delivering projects on time within budget and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Conceptualization
- Lead the formulation of advanced technical concepts and design solutions for mechanical systems and components.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess the technical and economic viability of project proposals.
Project Planning & Execution
- Oversee planning scheduling and execution of all mechanical engineering activities from design to implementation.
- Manage resources and ensure progress of mechanical work aligns with project milestones and budgets.
Team & Disciplinary Coordination
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical civil structural) to ensure integrated project delivery.
Technical Problem-Solving
- Identify analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges during projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards codes and safety regulations.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and present technical reports progress updates and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation including drawings calculations and specifications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: BSc BEng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with proven expertise in facilities management
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles thermodynamics fluid mechanics and materials science.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership & Management:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively.
- Excellent organizational project management and communication skills.
Candidates must have Freelance/ Family visa or be open to working on Secondment
