Position Summary
The Coordinator Organizational Health and Safety is responsible and accountable for surveillance education and consultation in accordance with current standards of practice. The Coordinator will work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations as well as the Infection Prevention and Control protocols MOHLTC directives and current public health practices. This role works in collaboration with the People & Culture team supporting confidential employee matters. They are expected to support analysis on employee attendance and provide assessment assist with scheduling staff for mandatory training and identifying concerns or trends to leadership and the People & Culture team as well as providing insight and support corporate change initiatives to align with Organizational priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
The Coordinator Organizational Health and Safety supports staff professional staff volunteers and learners through:
Practicing in the specialty of Occupational Health & Safety the Coordinator Organizational Health and Safety encompasses the promotion maintenance and restoration of health and the prevention of illness and injury. They will closely with other interdisciplary teams such as People and Culture.
