Renewal by Andersen was founded with the objective of creating a different and better window and door replacement experience for homeowners.
Renewal by Andersen of Long Island is seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our IT infrastructure providing end-user support and ensuring the security and stability of our systems. This is a critical role that supports both our in-office staff and our remote field agents.
Key Responsibilities:
Network & Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) internet connectivity and VPN systems. Configure and troubleshoot routers switches firewalls and wireless access points.
Server & Systems Administration: Manage and maintain on-premises and cloud-based servers including updates patching and backup management. Administer core services such as Active Directory DNS DHCP and file systems.
Remote End-User Support: Provide timely remote technical support to field agents and remote employees via phone chat or remote desktop tools. Assist with connectivity issues software troubleshooting and device configuration. Ensure secure and reliable access to corporate systems and applications from the field.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding: Set up accounts devices email and access credentials for new hires. Participate in new employee orientations to assist with technical setup and training. Provision ID badges manage access controls and ensure proper offboarding procedures including revoking access and recovering equipment.
Cloud Services Administration: Manage Microsoft 365 Google Workspace Azure or similar platforms including user accounts permissions and collaboration tools. Monitor service health and ensure cloud resources are optimized and secure.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Enforce security protocols including antivirus endpoint protection patch management and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Monitor logs respond to security incidents and support internal audits or compliance requirements.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Oversee backup systems schedule regular testing and ensure data integrity. Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity procedures.
IT Asset & License Management: Maintain a detailed inventory of IT assets and manage procurement tracking and lifecycle. Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements.
Process Improvement & Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for systems procedures and support workflows. Identify opportunities for automation or process improvement and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in a similar IT administration role.
- Experience with on-premises and cloud-based server management and administration.
- Familiarity with network protocols and equipment such as routers switches and firewalls.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft 365 Google Workspace or Azure.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting and server administration.
- Ability to provide customer-service oriented technical support.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Detail-oriented for effective asset and license management.
- Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary $75000-$85000 including bonus opportunities
