A DET or Diploma Engineer Trainee job description involvesassisting senior engineers with project work conducting quality checks assisting in machinery maintenance and troubleshooting and learning various technical skills to gain practical experience in an engineering field.DET roles provide a learning opportunity for recent diploma graduates to apply their technical knowledge and develop hands-on skills under supervision with responsibilities varying depending on the specific engineering discipline (e.g. mechanical electrical IT).
Typical Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Projects:Supporting senior engineers on various projects by analyzing requirements preparing documents and conducting research.
- Technical Support:Providing technical assistance maintaining equipment and performing inspections and repairs.
- Quality Control:Conducting quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
