Occupational Therapy Assistant
An opportunity has arisen to work within the Adult social care Occupational Therapy Service as an Assistant. This role supports in the screening of peoples needs assessing and providing equipment timely reducing risks and preventing the need for people to be on a waiting list.
In this role you will support people to meet their needs enable independence and maintain function which reduces risks and the need for care support. You will develop your assessment skills knowledge of equipment and its use. You will also gain knowledge of a range of adaptations provision how equipment and adaptions can enable people reduce risk reduce carer strain so ultimately supporting carers in their role.
Working alongside therapists in our Duty team you will learn from other therapy assistants and have an opportunity to work across range of our OT service areas to further develop skills and expertise. There is an OT Apprenticeship for those staff wishing to progress in their career.
