Work schedule is Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm Friday 9am-6pm
The ideal candidate for a New Accounts Teller will have the skills and experience necessary to:
- Expand client base through successful selling and coaching techniques including lending applications cross-selling of bank services and products and assisting clients in every area of banking.
- Resolve client concerns through direct personal action or by referring clients to an alternative bank department resource.
- Identify and address clients needs by providing a variety of services which may include opening new accounts issuing counter checks performing account maintenance issuing/activation ATM cards performing money transfers ordering checks receiving loan payments etc.
- Ensure the branch provides quality service while protecting against loss.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of branch operations.
- May Supervise branch activities in the absence of or in conjunction with branch management team.
- Perform cash transactions and accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years experience in teller new accounts loan processing consumer lending sales or other directly related experience. Previous experience in a financial sales representative oriented role preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred
- Ability to sell cross-sell and refer bank products based on clients needs.
- Solid mathematical problem-solving and negotiation skills to support standard banking products services and transactions including balancing.
- Solid knowledge of all retail products and services.
- Proven customer service relationship building interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written with strong attention to detail and time management.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of consumer lending applications a plus.
