STAFF ACCOUNTANT

OVERVIEW

The Staff Accountant position is responsible for providing financial support throughout the Accounting Department in financial reporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role is responsible for month end activity audit support and support various general accounting duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ResponsiblefortheaccuracyoftheGeneralLedgerandtrialbalance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Analyzereconcileandpreparemonthendclosingentries.
  • Ensurethatthepreliminary financial statements areready fortheControllers review bythefifthworking day of the month.
  • Support monthlyfinancialreporting ofactualmetrics andidentify risks&opportunitiesandresearch understand and describe monthly variances.
  • Performadvancedassetandliabilityaccountreconciliationforareasofresponsibility.
  • Ensurethatallbankactivitiesareaccountedforandpostedaccuratelyandtimely.
  • EnsuresthatallBalanceSheet Accounts areproperly reconciled against subledger activity ordetailed activity that supports thetrue details ofthe account and supports that the totals are accurately representedof the Assets and Liabilities of the company.
  • Maintain and report capital expenditures (Property Plant & Equipment) which includes all companyleases (Financing and Operational Leases) to support financial reporting management reporting risk management and government reporting.
  • Assist collect andprovideanyexternalorinternalauditrequirementsincluding support ofinternal documents and support.
  • SupporttheControllersCostAccountingresponsibilitiesandstandardcostupdates.
  • Implementimprovements/automationforaccountingand/orfinancialmodelsandprocesses.
  • Maintainappropriateinternalcontrols andinternalcontrolframeworkfor areasofresponsibility.
  • SupportandreviewAPandARteamasneeded.
  • AssistwithAnnualwalltowallphysicalinventoryandweeklycyclecountreviews.
  • Performspecialprojectsandreportingtosupport thebusinessasrequired.
  • Assistwith developmentofannualbudgetand monthlydepartmentalreviewswithbudgetvsactual.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • BachelorsDegreeinAccountingorcloselyrelatedfield.
  • Manufacturingexperienceaplus.
  • (USGAAP)and/orInternational Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Thoroughknowledgeofaccounting proceduresandconcepts forexample generalledgerbalance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Workingknowledgeofaccountingsystems preferablyMSDynamics 365.
  • ProficientinMicrosoftOfficeespeciallyExcelWordandOutlook
  • Thoroughknowledgeofprocessimprovementdevelopment.
  • 3() yearsofgeneralledgeraccountingexperience.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Up to 10% travel may be required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job employees may be required to walk for prolonged periods of time occasionally bending climbing rotating squatting reaching kneeling or stooping lifting up to 10 pounds and periods of computer use.

Employees may be frequently exposed to heat/cold heights gases vibration dust chemicals odors dampness fumes and noises.
