Partner with us
As aLegal Counselwithin the Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) business of Baker Hughes you will support the legal and the business team in delivering practical business-focused legal advice across a wide range of commercial and industry related matters within APAC. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your legal career in-house gain exposure to international operations and work closely with senior legal professionals and business stakeholders.
In this role you will be:
Assisting in drafting reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts including supply service and technology agreements.
Supporting in advising business teams on legal risks compliance and regulatory matters.
Conducting legal research and prepare internal memoranda on commercial corporate and local content issues.
Helping to manage contract risk and lifecycle processes including execution amendments and renewals.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales procurement and operations to ensure legal alignment with business objectives.
Participating in internal training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to build expertise in energy law and commercial practices.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you should have:
A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent from an accredited university with a common law degree.
Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience ideally in an international law firm or in-house legal department with exposure to commercial contracts or commercial matters.
Strong English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders. Second language commonly used in the business environment is a plus.
A proactive detail-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative spirit and eagerness to contribute to team success.
