Position Overview: As the Lead QA Engineer for manual testing you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our clients products. You will lead a team of QA testers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality before they are released. Your expertise in manual testing attention to detail and leadership skills will be critical to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead mentor and motivate a team of QA testers to achieve high-quality results and professional growth.
- Assign tasks set priorities and monitor the progress of testing activities.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations provide feedback and identify opportunities for skill development.
Test Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with product owners developers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans.
- Develop and implement manual testing strategies including test cases scenarios and test data to ensure maximum test coverage.
Manual Testing:
- Perform hands-on manual testing of projects to identify defects inconsistencies and usability issues.
- Execute test cases document defects and verify their resolution through thorough retesting.
Test Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation including test cases test scripts and test data.
- Generate comprehensive testing reports and status updates to communicate progress and results to relevant stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve the QA process by identifying areas for automation optimization and efficiency gains.
- Propose and implement best practices for manual testing methodologies and processes.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers product managers and designers to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
- Effectively communicate testing results issues and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience 8 years in manual testing of software applications.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and QA best practices.
- Proficiency in writing clear and concise test cases and test documentation.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. JIRA TestRail etc.).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred:
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certification.
- Exposure with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Tosca or Selenium.
- Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
