Role Overview: An Azure Coach is a cloud expert who mentors trains and supports teams in adopting and optimizing Microsoft Azure services. This role blends technical expertise with coaching and enablement helping organizations accelerate their cloud transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentorship & Coaching:
- Guide development and operations teams in best practices for Azure architecture deployment and operations.
- Coach teams on DevOps Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Support agile teams in cloud-native development and modernization efforts.
- Training & Enablement:
- Deliver hands-on workshops brown-bag sessions and technical deep-dives.
- Create and maintain learning paths and documentation tailored to team needs.
- Help teams achieve Azure certifications and upskill in key areas.
- Cloud Strategy & Governance:
- Assist in defining cloud adoption frameworks and governance models.
- Promote secure scalable and cost-effective use of Azure services.
- Collaborate with cloud architects and security teams to align on enterprise standards.
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide architectural guidance on Azure services like App Services AKS Functions Logic Apps and more.
- Help teams troubleshoot and optimize Azure workloads.
- Stay current with Azure updates and evangelize new capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong background in DevOps automation (e.g. ARM Bicep Terraform) and CI/CD.
- Experience coaching or mentoring technical teams.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert DevOps Engineer Expert) are highly desirable.
- Experience with agile methodologies and enterprise IT environments.
