Our Energy Assessments team within the NSW Planning group are seeking to appoint Senior Environmental Assessment Officers to contribute to the NSW Governments assessment and regulation of high-profile projects across the renewable energy sector. This dynamic team works on large scale wind farms solar farms transmission lines pumped hydro and batteries (BESS) across NSW.
About the role
Development assessment is exciting challenging and fulfilling. We are looking for Senior Environmental Assessment professionals who can deliver high quality efficient and timely assessment advice to ensure State significant projects meet all statutory obligations Government policy requirements and Government goals.
As a Senior Environmental Assessment Officer you will assess the merits of a range of State significant energy projects in line with best practice frameworks and benchmark assessment outcome turnaround times and produce high quality work on a wide range of planning matters including the preparation of well written accurate and timely reports and effective conditions of consent. You will be building relationships and increasing engagement with various stakeholders including external agencies and the community while managing their different and often competing interests.
