A Day in the Life of a Surgery Aide - Operating Room
The Operating Room Aide plays a crucial role in ensuring that surgical environments are prepared maintained and reset efficiently to optimize operational flow and uphold stringent hygiene standards. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing operating rooms equipment set-up and assisting with the logistics of surgical instruments and supplies. Challenges often involve managing multiple tasks under tight schedules and adhering to strict health and safety protocols. Collaboration is key as the aide works closely with surgical teams to provide necessary support during and between procedures. The work structure is dynamic involving shifts that may extend outside regular hours requiring flexibility and quick adaptability.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Required
- Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) within 6 months of hire
- American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred
- Prior healthcare experience
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range is listed above. Actual pay rate offered is determined based on experience in this role. Please be sure to include all applicable experience in your application.
