Downer is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team in this role you will be responsible for leading crews managing subcontractors and ensuring the safe efficient and high-quality delivery of construction projects.
As the Construction Supervisor you will play a key role in the operational management of contracts ensuring projects are delivered safely on time and to client expectations. You will plan organise direct and monitor site operations while promoting a strong culture of safety quality and performance across your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise crews to achieve productivity safety quality and profitability targets
- Ensure efficient use of plant equipment materials and subcontractors
- Provide on-site coaching and development to staff supporting their career growth
- Maintain accurate records and reporting to management
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients subcontractors and the public
- Promote and uphold Downers Zero Harm culture and values

We are looking for a strong leader who can balance operational priorities with people management. To be successful you will have:
- Experience in the contracting/construction industry
- NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Works or a willingness to work towards this qualification
- A proven ability to manage teams subcontractors and resources effectively
- A commitment to health safety and quality standards
