Job Description
We are hiring a Cost Analyst to support efficient financial operations and cost control across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Collect analyze and interpret financial data on costs expenditures and budgets.
- Monitor cost variances identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Maintain standard cost systems and accurate cost accounting records.
- Assist with financial forecasts budgets and performance reports.
- Conduct profitability and margin analyses on projects and operations.
- Collaborate with operations procurement and finance teams for accurate cost allocation.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and present insights to management.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Continuously improve costing methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g. CIMA ACCA ZICA) advantageous.
- Proven experience as a Cost Analyst Financial Analyst or in a similar role (logistics mining processing or heavy industry preferred).
- Strong analytical problem-solving and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles budgeting and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to present financial insights clearly.
