We are seeking a highly qualified Investor Engagement Advisor to support our investor engagement strategy and advocacy efforts. This part-time consultant (see time commitment and term information below) will provide strategic guidance on engaging a range of types of investors and amplifying our calls for stronger labor and environmental due diligence in global supply chains.
Partner in developing a winning strategy to enlist investors in ensuring stronger compliance with local and international labor and environmental laws and standards.
Generate significant buy-in from major asset managers banks institutional investors hedge funds private equity funds family offices and others for a bold scaled long-term play: a transparent and independent grievance redress and accountability mechanism that would revolutionize investor diligence and impact on upstream labor practices.
Arrange and participate in meetings with investors.
Partner in developing advocacy materials talking points and outreach plans aimed at financial stakeholders.
Identify key channels and audiences to promote and disseminate our work.
Participate in briefings and planning meetings with staff and partners as needed.
Professional experience in investment and finance.
An active network in the investment/finance community including access to a range of mainstream investors.
Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative remote environment.
Additional desired qualifications (not required): experience in credit markets; experience with non-financial sustainability disclosures; some experience with regulatory legal or reputational risk for investors related to labor rights environmental issues or similar concerns.
Other requirements: Fluency in English.
Location: Remote (global).
Time Commitment: Up to five hours a week; 12-month contract with the potential to extend beyond the contract period.
Compensation: $150/hour dependent on experience and location.
