The Registered Nurse in this position will represent International SOS and will provide comprehensive health services to DOS DOD and contractor personnel stationed in Iraq. Registered Nurses will use a holistic approach to care for the patients requiring acute medical or surgical interventions. Nurses will be accountable clinically for ensuring nursing care compliance with accepted standards of care and clinical practice. Nurses will use clinical judgment in assessing planning implementing documenting and evaluating patient care in variety of settings where life-threatening disease or injury requires close monitoring and at times quick intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients physical and mental health status.
- Collect and analyse patient histories vital signs and diagnostic information.
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and healthcare needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Administer medications treatments and procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Provide direct patient care including wound care IV therapy and monitoring of vital signs.
- Educate patients about health conditions treatment plans and self-care strategies.
- Offer emotional support and counselling to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records documenting care provided and patient responses.
- Maintain compliance with all project site procedures standards and continuing educational and mandatory training requirements.
- The role may involve on-call hours and requires the ability to respond to emergencies.
- Completes required organizational compliance education including assigned requirements that are client-specified for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications :
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- Current full active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a State Territory or Commonwealth (i.e. Puerto Rico) of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- 2 years experience 6 months experience within the past year experience abroad or in austere environment preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
Physical Requirements:
- Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq.
- Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
