Data Collection: Unit Information: Orthopedics Location: Live Oak Address:12412 Judson Rd Live Oak TX 78233 Floor: Ortho/Neuro/Onc 5th floor Building: Methodist Northeast General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 30 Number of Staff 59 (total head count) Type of staff: o Day Shift 1 Charge 3-4 techs restorative tech 5-6 nurses o Night Shift 1 Charge 3-4 techs 5-6 nurses Patient Ratios 5/6 Type of equipment Transfer Sliding boards Hoyer C-collars Post-op shoes JP drains EMR Meditech Airstrip Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. NIH certificate of completion/Neuro assessments BLS Chest tube management Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Chemo certification ACLS EKG interpretation List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Wound care/vac post-op total knees/hips Central line/Foley and drain management Chemo administration only for certified chemo nurses (must provide proof) Best personality Fit: Compassion positive accountable integrity takes initiative team player flexible solution driven REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: NIH BLS Floating Area(s): May float to Med-surg rehab Tele Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Professional navy blue top and bottom Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Unit Standards of Care attached must be read and signed prior to starting contract Weekends and On call(if any) 4 weekend 12-hr shift requirements per schedule (days: Saturday/Sunday nights: Friday Saturday Sunday) Weekend call ins must be made up.
