Job Description
Title: Pharmacy Technician 1
Location: Chesterfield MO 63005
Duration: 1 Year
Shift: Schedule will vary but will range from 8 am 6 pm Monday through Friday.
Description:
- Schedule will vary but will range from 8 am 6 pm Monday through Friday. Might have to stay late depending on FEDEX pick up at end of day but team typically tries to leave by 6 pm.
- Typical tasks will be packing and shipping orders receiving deliveries restocking supplies and assisting in trash removal end of day.
- Get to work closely on site with other shipping technicians. Will gain experience in logistics and how to properly ship medications.
- Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis
- Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist
- Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information directly into the system
- Prepare and submit request for prescription refills
- Initiate clarification requests
- Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation
- Complete reorder processing for the timely filling of prescription refills
- Comply with safety quality assurance accreditation legal state and federal regulatory requirements and company policies
- Complete work list according to guidelines set by Manager
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
Must haves: 2 years of shipping/receiving ordering packing warehouse or logistics experience.
