We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Business Data Analyst to join our this pivotal role you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions driving impactful improvements across our systems and processes. You will leverage your expertise to understand complex business challenges define actionable requirements and ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions.
About the Role
The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for comprehensively analyzing existing business requirements current functionalities intricate data flows and critical pain points. You will then harness this deep understanding to elicit and meticulously document comprehensive business requirements for new systems or significant enhancements. A core function of this role is translating complex business needs into clear concise and actionable requirements that guide development and quality assurance teams. You will be well-versed in crafting detailed Epics and User Stories complete with precise acceptance criteria to effectively communicate both functional and non-functional requirements.
This role demands close collaboration with business stakeholders product owners and technical teams to foster alignment between strategic business objectives and the capabilities of our technological systems. You will play a proactive part in identifying opportunities for process and system optimization documenting current state processes and recommending innovative solutions.

Confers with cross-functional personnel to gather insights on operational procedures identify specific input/output requirements data summarization needs and report formats.
Develop comprehensive descriptions of user needs program functions and the detailed steps required for program development or modification.
Assess computer system capabilities specifications and scheduling constraints to determine the feasibility of proposed changes.
Elicit analyze and document comprehensive business requirements translating complex needs into clear Epics and User Stories including acceptance criteria.
Collaborate continuously with business stakeholders product owners and technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding.
Design and present visual data models and dashboards to effectively communicate trends performance and project timelines.
Create and maintain essential data-related documentation such as data dictionaries business requirement documents and data mapping specifications.
Lead and facilitate data-focused meetings and interviews meticulously documenting outcomes and driving the resolution of data-related issues.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
13 Years Required: Hands-on experience as a business data analyst in the Information Technology industry demonstrating strong analytical and documentation skills.
13 Years Required: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams to analyze complex data-driven business problems and recommend actionable solutions.
10 Years Required: Experience designing and optimizing data workflows and data management processes using modeling or mapping tools.
10 Years Required: Well-versed in writing Epics and User Stories including acceptance criteria to effectively communicate functional and non-functional requirements to development and quality assurance teams.
8 Years Required: Experience creating and maintaining data-related documentation including data dictionaries business requirement documents and data mapping specifications.
8 Years Required: Experience designing and presenting visual data models and dashboards to communicate trends performance and project timelines.
8 Years Required: Demonstrated ability to lead data-focused meetings and interviews document outcomes and drive resolution of data-related issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 Years Preferred: Bachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science Information Systems Business Analytics or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
4 Years Preferred: Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple data projects or assignments concurrently.
