The Adult Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for maintaining a caseload consisting of clients with a primary mental health and/or co-occurring substance abuse diagnosis. The therapist is required to conduct intake assessments to maintain the case record in a timely fashion to complete authorizations with various funding sources in a timely manner as required and to conduct appropriate treatment services based on medical necessity. Regular working hours for staff are Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 7 pm and Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm. Evening hours will be required and determined based on program needs.
***ABH is the largest program that client has and a typical case load is around 50 active cases. ABH currently has over 100 employees which includes leadership case managers and other therapists.***
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Primary responsibility is to participate in the delivery of clinical services including intake evaluations and direct treatment for adults and families.
2. Assess and document the needs of clients who present themselves for outpatient mental health and/or co-occurring substance abuse services utilizing Person-Centered Planning principals.
3. Provide individual and group therapy.
4. Work collaboratively with others in relation to the client and family including psychiatrists primary care physicians school personnel and other family service or support people.
