Job Description
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Good experience with Layer 1 rack and stack
- Good experience with cable management
- Good experience with fiber troubleshooting (there will be a good amount of walking) 15-20% will be cable management and fiber troubleshooting
- Good experience with Cisco routing and switching there will be a LOT of switch work
- Good experience with how firewalls work and firewall policies
- HUGE PLUS- Experience with PALO ALTO firewalls and routing
A few key responsibilities:
- Rack and stack equipment.
- Experience with troubleshooting cabling (a plus).
- Configure troubleshoot and deploy equipment (switches APs PDUs etc.)
- Network equipment inventory management.
- Clean up cabling in IDFs.
- Wireless LAN configuration and maintenance.
- Gather and compile documentation and diagrams as required .
- Update and maintain network management application databases and CMDB tools.
- Proactively address business process issues regarding networks through network architecture design development and implementation as well as business process re-engineering .
- Perform related duties as assigned.
