Job Description
Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Nowata OK 74048
Schedule: 8 hours/day 5 days/week
Overview:
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides care for individuals who are sick injured convalescent or disabled. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in hospital and long-term care facility settings with a focus on patient safety comfort and recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an assigned patient load from admission through discharge.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and document findings accurately.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) to plan and update patient care plans.
- Perform a variety of treatment procedures including:
- Heat and cold therapy
- Extensive sterile dressing changes
- Starting maintaining and monitoring IVs
- Inserting catheters and NG tubes
- Administering enemas
- Caring for isolation patients
- Preparing and administering medications (including IV medications)
- Setting up and providing oxygen therapy suction and respiratory therapy treatments
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum Experience: 3 years (Required)
- Current LPN license (Oklahoma)
- Proven wound care experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively
Pre-Employment Requirement:
