Job Title:Material Handler
Pay:$20$23/hour
Hours/Days:6:00 AM 4:30 PM MondayFriday
Location:Port of Catoosa
Duration:Temp to Hire
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilledMaterial Handlerfor a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity at the Port of Catoosa. TheMaterial Handlerwill be responsible for a variety of material handling tasks using equipment such asforkliftsscissor liftsjib cranes andbridge cranes. Candidates must be dependable detail-oriented and safety-focused.
Your Responsibilities:
- Operate various sizes and types offorklifts
- Operate abridge craneandjib crane
- Communicate clearly and interact professionally withtruck driversanddelivery personnel
- Performdaily inspectionsof equipment and complete proper documentation
- Properlyrig loads for liftingandinspect riggingfor safety
- Determine the appropriate process formoving raw materialsandfinished products
- Perform other duties as assigned/directed by supervisor
What Were Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalentpreferred
- 6 months to 1 yearof experience as amaterial handlerin amanufacturing environment
- Certifications forforkliftscranes and otherlifting devices
- Highlydetail-orientedandself-motivated
- Ability to work effectively in ateam environment
- Capable of frequentreachingliftingstandingclimbingstoopingkneelingcrouchingpushingpulling andbalancing
- Excellenthand-eye coordinationandspatial orientation
- Strong focus onworkplace safetyfor self and others
- Maintain aclean and hazard-free workspace
- Identify and managedefective itemsappropriately
- FollowJSAwork instructions and use properPPE
- Demonstrateproblem-solving skillsandtake pride in work
- Ability tolift up to 50 lbs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
