What Will You Do
The Lean Manufacturing Standardization & Training Director will focus on developing and implementing standard operating procedures and training programs that enhance efficiency and promote a continuous improvement culture across manufacturing operations. This role involves analyzing current processes identifying best practices and leading training initiatives to empower teams to embrace Lean methodologies and improve overall productivity.
How Will You Do It
Conduct thorough analyses of existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for standardization and improvement.
Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) that reflect best practices in Lean manufacturing.
Facilitate training sessions for employees at all levels to ensure understanding and adherence to Lean principles.
Utilize Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping 5S and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop training materials and resources that support Lean initiatives.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics to assess the impact of training and standardization efforts.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and innovative suggestions from team members.
Act as a mentor and coach to employees in applying Lean concepts and practices in their daily operations.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate training outcomes and process improvements to management.
What Are We Looking For
Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a related field.
10 years of experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement roles.
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and train employees.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Lean tools and methodologies.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence change.
