Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations by managing the flow of incoming and outgoing goods. From verifying part counts to preparing shipments and maintaining safety standards this position ensures accuracy timeliness and reliability in logistics.
What You Will Be Doing
Count weigh and measure parts to verify quantity and size against order requirements.
Label all packages correctly and prioritize accuracy using verification methods.
Apply proper packaging techniques to protect product integrity and ensure safe transport.
Assemble and pack crates for large orders using the correct tools.
Process orders on time according to handling schedules and shipping methods.
Complete shipping paperwork including commercial invoices packing slips and staging documents.
Recall or redirect packages in transit when necessary.
Follow established Standard Operating Instructions under the Quality Management System.
Load trucks/vans using forklifts or pallet jacks.
Maintain a clean organized and safe working environment while following warehouse safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What You Bring to the Table
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
At least 1 year of shipping and receiving experience.
Positive attitude team-player mindset and coachability.
Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt new packaging techniques.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and item processing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Teams and ERP inventory systems (Epicor experience is a plus!).
Familiarity with DHL FedEx UPS USPS and shipping management tools (e.g. ShipStation).
Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse/dock conditions.
