You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are continuing to grow and are now looking for more exceptional Java/Scala developers to strengthen our team.
In this role youll be responsible for building big data services and pipelines using Scala at one of our most innovative clients. You will develop algorithms to match conflate and identify anomalies while improving the simplicity scalability and efficiency of systems to handle ever-increasing volumes of data. A key part of the work is reducing turnaround times to keep data as fresh as possible.
You will also be expected to propose and implement improvements such as automation of existing processes and requirements for new functionality and solution design.

Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a developer
University degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Masters degree preferred
Strong programming and design skills
Deep knowledge and extensive experience of the JVM preferably Scala
Experience with one or more application frameworks such as Spark Akka Play Big Data ETL or data streaming
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to work on-site at the clients office in Malm 3 days per week

You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills enabling you to approach complex challenges with creativity and structure. It is considered a strong merit if you have experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka as well as the ability to design and implement APIs and REST services. Experience with NoSQL databases is also valuable as is knowledge of how to apply Machine Learning or AI to large-scale data in practice.
