The Portugal Compliance Manager reporting directly into the Legal/Compliance Manager has prime responsibility to ensure the regulatory compliance of the Portuguese digital business operated by Rank International/YoBrands.
- Ensures that the companys Portuguese digital gaming licenses are kept safe protected and renewed and to take specific responsibility for all regulatory compliance related issues and policies within Ranks digital businesses.
- Ensures that all digital operational departments otherwise have appropriate and up to date control systems and procedures in place to ensure compliance with relevant Portuguese and international legislations and license conditions.
- Keeps fully informed and up to date with all digital development projects proposals and initiatives to ensure that all regulatory compliance related aspects issues or concerns are addressed before implementation.
- Liaises closely with relevant regulators in order to build strong open trusting and co-operative relationships as point of contact in matters related to Rank Internationals Portuguese digital licenses.
- Ensures appropriate changes and modifications to systems and procedures are made and implemented if areas of weakness are discovered and to keep the potential for such risks under constant review.
- Uses regulatory knowledge and experience to provide compliance advice and support to all executives management and employees of the company in relation to Portuguese business development opportunities or operational queries. (Examples such as assessing the legality of proposed promotional activity adjudication on customer disputes terms and conditions etc).
- Assist on the business-as-usual compliance tasks of the Spanish digital gambling regulation when required.
- Conducts or assists with any compliance or other related internal investigations
Qualifications :
- Has detailed and up to date knowledge and experience of all relevant gaming laws regulations and codes of practice (e.g. gaming money laundering etc.) issued by the Portuguese regulator.
- Portuguese native speaker and fluent in English.
- Has experience and knowledge of the financial transaction and reporting processes to be able to test application procedures and risk and ensure that all required financial reports and accounts are submitted by the finance department to appropriate regulators on time.
- Demonstrates an awareness and understanding of the wider industrys best practice to bring balance to Ranks compliance approach.
- Has knowledge of the Spanish digital regulation (desired).
