Job Description
Turner & Townsend have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Manager to work on major construction projects in Norway.
Job Objectives
- Pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates procurement and tendering contract administration variation final account etc.
- Carryout commercial management during the pre-construction and construction phase.
- Completing feasibility studies writing procurement reports and managing procurement activities.
- Oversee the entire cost management process from initial budget development to final project closeout.
- Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
- Tendering and procurement activity including managing the pre-qualification stage producing the tender list preliminaries tender analysis tender report and compiling the contractual documents
- Taking responsibility for timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
- Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
- Interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages
- Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
- Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts
- Maintain central feedback and learning on cost estimating from prospects and projects and contribute to updating of best practices in estimating
- Conduct comprehensive cost analyses and recommend strategies for optimizing project budgets.
Qualifications :
- Experience in cost management within the construction industry with Data Center projects.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Economics or related subjects
- Proficiency in budget development cost estimation and financial analysis.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
