You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Lead to oversee daily chinchin production operations. This role is crucial to ensuring product quality efficient output and smooth coordination with internal teams and external partners.
As the Production Lead you are instrumental in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality chinchin to our customers. Your leadership will directly influence our operational efficiency product consistency and brand reputation.
Manage and organise daily chinchin production to meet output targets.
Ensure all products meet quality weight and texture standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that delay or halt production.
Maintain a clean safe and organised production environment.
Lead and manage a small team (2 3 staff members).
Train team members on production procedures and safety protocols.
Ensure efficient task allocation and monitor team performance.
Track stock levels of raw materials ingredients and packaging.
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials.
Monitor usage and help prevent stock shortages or excesses.
Liaise with offtakers (buyers) to align on delivery schedules.
Ensure finished goods meet agreed standards and are ready on time.
Support issue resolution related to deliveries or product quality.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g. proper packaging cleanliness).
Monitor quality and consistency during and after production.
Support product testing and inspection processes.
Ensure correct usage and cleaning of production equipment.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to avoid equipment failures.
Monitor overall resource efficiency (time people materials).
Record daily production data including output material usage and waste.
Report key issues and performance insights to the CEO.
Propose improvements to enhance efficiency quality or cost-effectiveness.
HND/ in Food Technology Engineering or related field.
Certifications in food safety or quality management (e.g. HACCP) are an advantage.
Minimum of 3 years in a food production role preferably in FMCG or snack manufacturing.
Experience with chinchin or similar snack production is highly preferred.
Proven ability to manage and lead small teams.
Familiarity with inventory management and material planning.
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication.
In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or basic inventory software.
Quick problem-solving abilities under pressure.
Highly organised responsible and detail-oriented.
Basic understanding of cost tracking and production reporting.
