Job Description
Were looking for an AML Investigations Team Lead to join our team in Budapest. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wises mission by helping identify suspicious activity and through that keep Wise compliant. You personally can help us get closer to our mission of Money Without Borders!
You will be leading a team of investigators in Budapest but get to join a larger team distributed in 5 different offices around the world.
The AML Investigation Team Lead is a people lead with a mindset that allows them to lead and support team members and build effective operational processes.
Our investigators daily task is to analyse payment patterns and identify suspicious activity. Leads responsibility is to make sure investigators have all the right tools to do that and we are doing it the most efficient way.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Build lead and develop a team of AML Investigators with a strong sense of community
- Measure and work towards improving team KPIs
- Initiate and support different operational process changes to improve teams performance
- Understand and manage training the team on our regulatory obligations and investigative skills
- Work with other leads product team and our developers to manage operational impact of changes and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience increase automation or improve operational efficiencies.
Qualifications :
About you:
- You have the right to work in Hungary (we dont offer visa and relocation support for this role)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Previous experience leading & developing teams or strong knowledge in AML
- You have a good understanding of and ability to analyse and move teams metrics while assisting different area specialists
- You have proven track record of taking ownership and responsibilities as well as being a great team-player
- You have great communication and presentations skills to assist on internal and external projects and audits.
