Job Description
We are looking for great people to join our team of MCD energy consultants based in our newly established office in Athens. If you are as interested as we are in this dynamic industry we would love to hear from you.
About the role:
We are strengthening our rapidly growing energy consulting team with focus on Strategy Transactions Market Analysis Power & Heat Generation and ODT (Organisational and Digital Transformation) in our office in Athens. We are looking to hire Analysts/ Consultants confident and enthusiastic about the work they do to be part of our interdisciplinary team.
In this role you will have an exciting opportunity to provide your contribution to the energy transition by supporting private and public organisations in making challenging sustainable investment and strategic decisions as they are going through their decarbonisation journey.
As a primary responsibility you will support AFRYs consulting activities for a wide range of clients who are actively engaged in the energy transition.
Your profile:
It would be great if you had the following skills but dont worry if you dont tick every box well help you develop along the way.
- We undertake a lot of complex analysis a good proportion of which is numerical so we are looking for people with an aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis including statistics and the ability to pay attention to detail and preferably use MS Excel proficiently. A degree in STEM is a definite benefit.
- Virtually all the work we do requires team working so if you have good communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others within a project team and wider office environment you will fit in well.
- In addition report writing is a core part of our work and so we are also looking for the ability to explain complex information in a clear and logical way in English and Greek using both Word and PowerPoint.
- You will assist with business development by preparing proposals and other sales material and helping to sell services in client meetings.
- You will be working in a commercial environment against budgets and deadlines so you will need to be able to think for yourself be pro-active and have a business-oriented mindset.
- If you have an understanding of Greek and European energy market dynamics and energy policy this is a definite benefit but not essential.
As we work globally being multi-lingual is an advantage so please do let us know your level in any language in which you have spoken and/or written ability and any experience that you have in energy markets around the world.
